Bush is lauding the "results" of NCLB. Most teachers I know don't think it's an effective teaching tool.

But Bush is proposing a 'pell grant program' for primary and secondary school children to attend private schools if their public school is failing. i thought these were called vouchers? I'm torn on the issue. I want all children to get the best education possible, and if that means they have to go to private school, then great, and we should afford them that opportunity. The problem is that we can't transfer every student to private school, so where do we draw the line? And what effect will it have on the public schools?
