US Open Tennis

The U.S. Open tennis tournament is one of my absolute favorite sporting events. When I was younger, my mom dad and I went just about every year, and I just fell in love with the eletric atmosphere of a New York night at the open. Of course, this was when American tennis stars Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi were at their peak, and seeing the two of them play is always fun. Unfortunately, my 3 weeks in Minnesota means that I don't have a lot of time to watch this year. I've caught a few matches, including one where Andy Roddick made an amazing comeback against 19-year-old Ernests Gulbis -- on a night that just happened to be both of their birthdays.

The Open also attracts a lot of celebs, especially ones based in the NY area -- this year, the super cool stars of HBO's Entourage took in a little Open action.
