Nick, our friends Celia and John, and I all met 3 DC United players at Garrett's last night, where they were having a fundraiser to protect children in Africa against malaria (just $10 buys one life-saving net.) I bet Nick that if he would go up and talk to Ben, that I'd buy us tickets to this Saturday's game. Needless to say, Nick was a little speechless when ^this^ happened. But the players (Ben Olsen, Marc Burch and Anthony Peters) were all super nice and even acted as bartenders for a while. Super fun! thanks DCU and screaming eagles.
